Edward smiled as he led the way downstairs into the dining room. Then took a seat in his usual spot. Usually there's only 3 placemates. But tonight, just as his mother had promised, there was a spot next to Edward that was set.

"No, thank you for staying," his mother replied as she walked into the kitchen to grab the dinner rolls.
Edward chuckled to himself before sipping a water his mother had set out for him.

Sophie laughed a little as well as she sat down. Ever since Sophie was younger she had never really been around adults, or had to respect them since her mom was a crack addict and brought a new boyfriend every month. However, with Edward's mom it was different. Edward was a good friend to her and if Edward's mom saw Sophie's real side then she would probably forbid him to see her and Sophie didn't want that.

Edward placed a clothe napkin on his lap already. Waiting for his mother to finishing putting their sides on the table.

Sophie crossed her arms and looked around. The dining table room was really nice and she kind of wondered if she would ever be able to live in a house like that.

Sophie laughed a little hearing Edwards comment. One thing Sophie wasn't used to was eating a lot. It wasn;t by choice, but at times the money wasn't enough for her to buy food. "well aren't you spoiled getting 3 course meals" she joked nudging him a little

Sophie looked at him and made a worried face "I guess you'll just have to survive off of home cooked meals, oh no" she said. She was obviously joking, Sophie's sense of humor was always mostly sarcastic. She then shot him a look and laughed

"You're father to say he'll be home soon," his mother said as she placed them on the table.
"So we're going to have to wait to start dinner," she said.
"Can I at least have a roll while I wait?" Edward asked.
"Sure." she replied.
